Drug and Alcohol Policy
Participants will be removed from the program for use or possession of illicit substances (drugs) or alcohol against Diaspora Discovery rules, regulations, and policies, or for failure to abide by the terms of this policy, and also for any level of inebriation or illicit substance use that impedes participation in an activity, or results in intoxication or renders the individual under the influence. There will be no tolerance for drunkenness, drug consumption, and/or drunk / drug-induced or disorderly conduct.

Drinking and illicit substance use is not permitted on trip flights.

Drinking and illicit substance use is never permitted during program time or while and mode of transportation.

Drinking and illicit substance use is not permitted by Discoverers in any or any hotel/guest house bedrooms.

Drinking and illicit substance use is only permitted in locations that are authorized and designated for that purpose eg, during Shabbat meal for Kiddush.

Purchase of any form of alcohol or illicit substance under local, U.S. or Israeli laws is not permitted throughout the trip.

Staff are not permitted to drink or consume illicit substances during the course of the Discovery program.

Staff may not purchase alcohol or illicit substances for participants.

Participants may purchase a closed bottle of wine as a gift to bring home if/when visiting a winery with the group or at the duty free shop at the conclusion of the trip.

Outings to pubs and bars whether individually or as a group activity is not permitted.

Failure to abide by the policy will result in immediate removal from the trip.
